PCD Turning Inserts
Polycrystalline diamond (PCD) Overview
Polycrystalline diamond (PCD) is a highly durable material known for its long cutting lifespan, ability to work at high cutting speeds, and outstanding performance in processing non-ferrous materials like aluminum and composites. PCD turning inserts consist of a layer of diamond securely bonded to a carbide-insert substrate, either standard or non-standard.
PCD Turning Inserts Applications
PCD is the most commonly used diamond material in production and is suitable for general machining as well as various industrial sectors such as automobiles, motorcycles, high-speed trains, petroleum, chemical, construction, wood processing, aerospace, and more. In the automotive and motorcycle industries, PCD is ideal for machining aluminum engine parts.
Our Capabilities
We offer a comprehensive range of standard and custom-made PCD inserts for turning and milling applications. These inserts are designed to improve the tool’s life, achieve uniform surface finishes, and provide excellent dimensional control, leading to increased productivity and cost savings throughout the manufacturing process.
Indexable PCD turning inserts
We offer a wide range of indexable PCD turning inserts, and we can also produce inserts suitable for your tools based on the ISO designation key and the tool’s application and material performance.
Our indexable inserts are commonly used for turning, boring, and replaceable tooling systems.

Behavior in Applications
When it comes to machining non-ferrous and non-metal materials, PCD turning inserts is the great choice for the following material application:
The Advantages of PCD turning inserts
- Consistent uniform wear, excellent thermal stability, and ultimate wear
- Delivers unparalleled part quality over long production runs
- Minimizes machine downtime
- cost-effective in the production
- long tool life
- resistance
PCD tools are highly wear-resistant and fairly durable for cutting through the toughest materials. Carbide bases add strength and stability to the structure, and PCD tools are ideal for precision cutting. The fine finish obtained by PCD polishing is often referred to as a “diamond” finish. Because PCD tools are so durable, they retain sharp edges much longer than traditional tools and have an excellent lifespan while maintaining high cutting and polishing accuracy. They can also be used to cut material at high speeds, increasing removal rates and reducing the time required to complete machining tasks.
We offer a wide range of standard PCD turning inserts as well as non-standard PCD inserts based on customer special drawings. If you have any special needs, please feel free to contact us.
